I know. I know. What is a resiliency author and speaker doing posting a blog/article on making a chocolate bar card? Here is my rational.  By making this unusual item you will:

• have fun.
• stimulate your creative juices.
• trigger your pleasure signals by nibbling on a bar or two.
• give recognition to another, hence boosting their resilience.
• experience the positive and rewarding feeling of gifting.

You can create this tasty giant greeting care for any occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s Day or Father’s Day.  I was in Smoky Lake, Alberta, to keynote a women’s event. A dear woman called Doris Slemko billeted me in her home.  Before we went to bed she proudly showed me an oversized birthday card. It had chocolate bars spelling out keywords of appreciation to her.  I loved the idea and made one for my hubby.

Over a month’s duration, every so often Les would cut through one chocolate bar, yes just one at a time, for an evening treat. Disciplined or what?
